Looking all around me what do I see Lots of changing faces and lots of things to be But I'm happy just to be a part of all I see As I turn round to look at you And you look back at me There isn't time to hang around anymore So fill your heart with loving And open up the door Someone's calling out to you And that's what love is for As I turn round to look at you And you look back no more I'm feelin' up I'm feelin' down My head's been twisted all around But now my feet are on the ground For everyone to see There's many ways to reach you Though you're far away All the little things we do The little things we say I miss you like I miss the sun I need you every day As I turn round to look at you And you look back my way Looking all around me what do I see Lots of changing faces and lots of things to be But I'm happy just to be a part of all I see As I turn round to look at you And you look back at me I'm feelin' up I'm feelin' down My head's been twisted all around But now my feet are on the ground For everyone to see

I've learned to chew very well Every minute of my time The face you see is my diary Years in every line No matter what you know You got a long way to grow Before you catch me My legs are getting slower And my hands are growing weak And some days I must think awhile Before I speak But don't pity me I'm not what you think you see Your eyes are green I can see much better now I can see so clearly now If only I knew them as much as I do now I would have had a good time Would have had a good time I've known wise men and I've danced with fools I was both in my life Life's been hard, so have I Had my share of strife It's not the things you do It's what you never get round to That makes you sad I can see much better now I can see so clearly now If only I knew them as much as I do now I would have had a good time Would have had a good time I've known wise men and I've danced with fools I've been both in my time Time is going faster nowadays And days too soon are night It's not the things you do It's what you never get round to That makes you sad

Come down off your throne and leave your body alone Somebody must change You are the reason I've been waiting so long Somebody holds the key But I'm near the end and I just ain't got the time And I'm wasted and I can't find my way home Come down on your own and leave your body alone Somebody must change You are the reason I've been waiting all these years Somebody holds the key But I'm near the end and I just ain't got the time And I'm wasted and I can't find my way home But I can't find my way home But I can't find my way home But I can't find my way home But I can't find my way home Still I can't find my way home And I ain't done nothing wrong But I can't find my way home

I don't know how to love him What to do, how to move him I've been changed, yes really changed In these past few days When I've seen myself I seem like someone else I don't know how to take this I don't see why he moves me He's a man He's just a man And I've had so many Men before In very many ways He's just one more Should I bring him down Should I scream and shout Should I speak of love Let my feelings out? I never thought I'd come to this What's it all about? Don't you think it's rather funny I should be in this position? I'm the one Who's always been So calm so cool No lover's fool Running every show He scares me so I never thought I'd come to this What's it all about? Yet, If he said he loved me I'd be lost; I'd be frightened I couldn't cope Just couldn't cope I'd turn my head I'd back away I wouldn't want to know He scares me so I want him so I love him so...

You can do what you want to do You can be who you want to be Just remember that me and you Ain't all there is To bein' free People need love People need trust People need one another And that means us My sugar babe Believe me sugar babe Everyone knows it ain't easy But when you get it all together in your heart It's the easiest thing to do to be pleasin' Folks ain't made to live apart People need love People need trust People need one another And that means us Sugar babe Let yourself be open honey learn to bend Remember everyone gets scared But I'm still your best friend When you forget about yourself And think of things to do To make me happy then you love me girl Like I love you How do turtles talk to one another They just look, there's no reason to cower Just like people they're drawn to each other They don't live in no ivory tower People need love People need trust People need one another And that means us My sugar babe Come on now sugar babe You know you hear me sugar babe Come on sweet Rita You're my sugar babe Believe me sugar babe So close, then again so far away Where are the answers, I hear them everyday Lovin' you from a distance never did make it anyway So close, then again so far away Here come little Miss Bright eyes Socking it to me everyday I got to get next to the girl Or I got to get away

If I give up the seat I've been saving To some elderly lady or man Am I being a good girl? Am I your pride and joy? Mother please, if you please, say I am And if while in the course of my duty I perform an unfortunate take Would you punish me so Unbelievably so Never again will I make that mistake This feeling inside me could never deny me The right to be wrong if I choose And this pleasure I get From say winning a bet is to lose When I'm drinking my Bonaparte Shandy Eating more than enough apple pies Will I glance at my screen And see real human beings Starve to death right in front of my eyes Nothing old, nothing new, nothing ventured Nothing gained, nothing still-born or lost Nothing further than proof, nothing wilder than youth Nothing older than time, nothing sweeter than wine Nothing physically, recklessly, hopelessly blind Nothing I couldn't say Nothing why 'cause today nothing rhymed This feeling inside me could never deny me The right to be wrong if I choose And this pleasure I get From say winning a bet is to lose Nothing good, nothing bad, nothing ventured Nothing gained, nothing still-born or lost Nothing further than proof, nothing wilder than youth Nothing older than time, nothing sweeter than wine Nothing physically, recklessly, hopelessly blind Nothing I couldn't say Nothing why 'cause today nothing rhymed

Things could be lazy If they weren’t so crazy And I wasn’t following you Running in circles won’t find me no purpose It’s right here with you and what I do Changes of season are nearly as pleasing As watchin' the changes in you Time for a new day, in search of a new way But are you sure that it will do World in changes still going through I’ve got a lot to learn about you World in changes still going through You’ve got a lot to learn about me too You’ve got a lot to learn about me too I said well let's see What you really mean to me I'll tell the truth ‘cause I can’t pretend Find yourself a real friend And then you nearly reached the end Of all of this runnin’ ‘round we do World in changes still going through I’ve got a lot to learn about you World in changes still going through You’ve got a lot to learn about me too You’ve got a lot to learn about me too World in changes, world in changes

Well they say the best of friends must part sometimes And we may just be the blind leading the blind Someone give me back my peace of mind All you have to do All you have to do All you have to do is speak your mind If you need someone to talk to tenderly Or lend a hand and help you on your feet Don't you know I live right up the street All you have to do All you have to do All you have to do is speak your mind I guess we been but lovers but never talk Winners are certain people who are never lost Lucky coins are waiting to be tossed All we have to do All we have to do All we have to do is speak our minds All we have to do All we have to do All we have to do is speak our minds

about

This album introduced to us, the other side of who was then only known as Mary Magdalene. Ms. Yvonne Elliman. Scorching with raw talent to burn, a fascinating idealism which showed in her voice, and one of the most exotically beautiful faces to ever be photographed, Yvonne Elliman shot to fame portraying Mary Magdalene is the Rock Opera "Jesus Chris Superstar", originating the role on the Album, then in the London West End production (the shows first) then migrating to Broadway for four years and even participating in the national tour. In these four or five years, Yvonne released this first album which showed, as stated above a different side of her. She was a folky, bluesy, optimist hippie and this record displays all that - and more! To the world, this album brings you, Miss Yvonne Elliman!
